Sometimes I come across peculiar and humorous bits and I just wanted to share these. So here is my collection, it has no unifying theme, some are interesting, some may make you laugh or scratch your head. It is my gallimaufry diary. I have tried to present it in appropriate sections but there is so much stuff that this is difficult at times.
Next time you are out and about just see how much you can find – it’s all around you.
Gallimaufry is thought to come from the archaic French galimafrée which is of unknown origin. It may have referred to a kind of sauce or stew. Support for this definition comes from its earliest sense in English of a ragout or mishmash of ingredients.
Variously been described as an accumulation, agglomeration, conglomeration or jumble.
